Across Check - Our 4 Stage Quality Assurance Process

The quality of our professional translations is paramount so we have developed a stringent 4-stage quality control procedure and have qualified and certified translation professionals in place at every stage of the translation process to ensure these procedures are completed correctly.

Stage 1 - Project Management

A dedicated Project Manager is assigned to your project from day one to keep a watchful eye over every detail of your translation project until final delivery. Their role is to fully understand your business and its translation needs and guarantee your project is delivered on-time and on-budget.

Part of their responsibility is to assemble the best team of translators, technical and QA resources for your particular job by ensuring each has the relevant industry experience and technical skills to deliver the desired outcome.

Your Project Manager also has access to significant technical resources, including Web / IT experts for projects involving websites or software localization and will direct all activities including the vital tasks of file management and quality assurance.

If you have any concerns your Project Manager is there to help and answer your questions.

Stage 2 - Project Analysis

Once the linguistic team and technical resources have been selected, the Project Manager will initiate the Project Analysis process. This involves the assigned team performing an in-depth analysis of the source material to determine the most efficient course of action.

Because each project is different, we apply a unique solution for each project whether it be a business document, manual, website or software. Each type of project has a customised workflow with its own set of quality procedures that enables us to meet your requirements.

The Project Analysis process also evaluates the source material with Translation Memory Technology to optimise the quality of the translation and provide you with cost and time savings. Depending on the size and type of project, the savings can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars.

Stage 3 - Production

The task of translating is not as simple as taking one word in one language and replacing it with another. It is the thorough understanding of the meaning of the source material, so that the subtle nuances and tone of the source text are rendered accurately in the target language.

To ensure quality, our foremost priority, we apply our 3-step approach:

  1. Qualified translators, who work in their native language, are carefully chosen for their experience and expertise in the subject matter.
  2. Industry-specific editors carefully review the translation for accuracy and fine tune the document’s linguistic and cultural integrity.
  3. Finally your translation is proofread to ensure the document is error-free and that your message flows as if it had been created in the target language.

Stage 4 - Periodic Updates

Once a translation project has been completed and is in circulation, you may discover you need to update or make changes to your source material and that your translations also need to mirror these updates and changes. Because we utilise the latest translation technology available we are able to update your translation in a fast and cost-effective manner.

The benefits to you include:

  • Reduced prices for repeated and similar segments
  • Quicker turnarounds for projects
  • Improved consistency across documents
