The Lexmark brand of printers and consumables is well known internationally. The marketing and product information from Lexmark needs to be continually translated into various foreign languages to reach target customers worldwide. One of the most effective ways of reaching their target customers is via their multilingual websites.
When Lexmark Asia Pacific decided to localise its website for 5 Asian regions they entrusted Across Translation to undertake the project. There were a number of special requests from Lexmark including culturally appropriate translations for specific target audiences for Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, meeting specific deadlines and working in collaboration with various international Lexmark staff to perform a client review.
Across Translation selected translators located in each target country with the appropriate qualifications and experience to produce a quality translation for Lexmark. Translation Memory Technology was utilised for this project to improve the quality of the translation and provide cost and time savings for the client.
Across Translation’s project management team was able to meet the tight deadlines by streamlining the translation process and delivering the project in batches ready for review by international Lexmark staff.
